Appeal for witnesses following serious road traffic collision – South and Vale

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Chalgrove.

At around 5.30pm on Tuesday (6/2) on the B480 at the junction of the slip road to Chalgrove a cyclist and a blue Volkswagen Polo were involved in a collision.

The cyclist, a 25-year-old man from Oxford, sustained serious injuries. He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the Polo was uninjured.

Investigating officer, PC Julia Stroud, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, based at Bicester, said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either the cyclist or the VW Polo before or after the collision.

“We are also asking anyone who might have dash cam footage of the collision to please get in touch.”
