Non-dwelling burglary - Carterton

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a non-dwelling burglary in Carterton, Oxfordshire.

Shortly before 1.30am today (8/3) a group of approximately four to five offenders used a grey Land Rover Discovery to attempt to remove an ATM from a wall of a Morrisons supermarket in Black Bourton Road.

The offenders then left the scene in another vehicle.

The Land Rover Discovery and a blue Volkswagen Transporter, which had both been previously stolen, were left at the scene.

No one was injured during the incident.

Officers are working to establish if any money was stolen from the ATM during the burglary.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Grahame Lea, of Banbury Force CID, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have seen any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area prior to the incident.

“If you have any information about the incident which could assist our investigation please contact police.”
