Thames Valley Police has a small museum at Sulhamstead House, at the Thames Valley Police training centre in Sulhamstead.
It includes displays on the history of Thames Valley Police and the five police forces that merged to form it: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxford City, Oxfordshire and Reading Borough.
The museum's collections include items from the Great Train Robbery of 1963, uniforms, equipment, medals, scenes of crime evidence, and Amelia Dyer.
The museum is currently only open on Wednesdays.
Visitors can attend between 10:00-12:00 on Wednesdays without having to book an appointment or pay a visitor fee.
NOTE: The Thames Valley Police Museum is located within an operational police facility. You must remain accompanied by a member of the Museum team throughout your visit.
Museum guests are encouraged to bring their smartphone and headphones to benefit from the full interactive visitor experience.
