This is a dedicated page to our colleague PC Andrew Harper who tragically died while performing his duties following a serious incident on 15 August 2019.

Andrew’s funeral took place on Monday 14 October at Christ Church Cathedral in St Aldates, Oxford at 11am.

The route was lined by officers from the force. They were with hundreds of people, including officers from forces across the country, who paid their respects along the processional route.

Andrew’s family and friends were joined at the cathedral service by more than 800 people. Those attending included Thames Valley Police Chief Constable, John Campbell, many of Andrew’s colleagues, Chief Officers from other forces along with representatives from the Police Federation, Police and Crime Commissioners, the Superintendent’s Association as well as senior leaders from other emergency services and representatives of our local partner agencies and the criminal justice system. Her Majesty’s Government was represented by the Home Secretary Rt Hon Priti Patel, MP.

Following the church service, there was a private cremation and wake.

The family requested that instead of flowers donations can be made to the following charities:

  • Blue Cross Rehoming Centre, Lewknor, OX49 5RY.

Andrew remains in our thoughts every day and we are all committed to honouring his memory.
