We want you to stay safe and enjoy your time at Reading Festival, so here’s our top safety tips to help you make the most of the weekend:

Looking After Yourself

  • If you are unwell or feeling down, the welfare tent, medical tent and safe hubs are open 24-hours a day. Never be afraid to get help if you need it,
  • Taking drugs can kill you – just don’t risk it,
  • Remember, alcohol and drugs can affect your ability to make safe judgements,
  • Sex without consent is rape – consent is everything,
  • Never leave your drinks unattended,
  • Check your mobile phone is charged every day,
  • Organise a meeting point with your friends in case you get split up,
  • Camp in a well-lit area,
  • Stay on the main campsite paths at night,
  • Plan your journey home,
  • Familiarise yourself with where the police, security and event stewards are located.

Keeping Your Valuables Safe

  • Don’t leave anything valuable in your car,
  • Make a note of your bank’s emergency number to call if your payment cards are stolen,
  • Don’t leave money, phones or valuables in your tent – keep them on you at all times or use the campsite lockers,
  • If you lose anything, your first place to go is the Waves Tent where all lost and found property is stored.
