The Sergeant is next in command and also assists the Inspector. In addition they provide leadership in the development and supervision of the Constables and PCSOs. They too work with the community and other agencies to ensure that the concerns of the community are dealt with by the Neighbourhood Team.

This officer is a Police Community Support Officer. While having no power of arrest, the officer can attend incidents, patrol and reassure, tackle ASB and parking issues, and in Thames Valley will be deployed to deliver our Crime Attendance policy of attending to provide follow up support and contact. ASB - Drug dealing around Gascons Grove

Recent intelligence and community reports have identified suspected drug dealing activity in and around Gascons Grove. In response, a targeted enforcement operation was undertaken, resulting in the execution of a warrant at a linked address. This action led to the seizure of a significant quantity of suspected Class A and Class B controlled drugs, disrupting local supply and addressing community concerns. The matter remains under active investigation, with further enquiries ongoing to identify any wider networks, safeguard vulnerable individuals, and support longer‑term problem‑solving in the area.

Youth Violence

There have been recent reports of youth violence in the area, raising concern regarding public safety and escalation of antisocial behaviour. In response, officers conducted targeted patrols and enquiries, during which a discarded Weapons item, identified as a zombie knife, was located. A male was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident, enabling early intervention and risk mitigation. The incident is under investigation, with ongoing enquiries to establish circumstances, identify any linked individuals, and address safeguarding considerations for those involved.
