Knife and violent crime
Issued 12 October 2026
Neighbourhood officers understand the concerns of residents regarding the recent increase in violent crime and knife-related offences across Slough. In response, the Neighbourhood Team has been conducting high-visibility patrols and working closely with the Disruption Team to target known offenders, gather intelligence and provide reassurance to the community.
In early October, officers worked collaboratively with neighbourhood policing teams from Windsor and Bracknell to secure the charge and remand of a male suspected of carrying offensive weapons and involvement in drug dealing. While the investigation remains ongoing, the individual remains in custody at this time.
Patrols and proactive policing activity will continue across the area, and the team remains committed to identifying offenders, tackling violence and ensuring those responsible are brought to justice.

ASB/Suspicious Activity -
St Elmo Crescent
Issued 12 October 2026
Officers from the Neighbourhood Team have been made aware of concerns regarding suspected drug-related activity and suspicious individuals loitering in the St Elmo Crescent area. Following enquiries, officers identified a vulnerable resident whose circumstances were attracting individuals to the location.
The Neighbourhood Team is working closely with the resident, alongside partner agencies including Social Services and the local authority, to address the issues and reduce the presence of these individuals in the area.
High-visibility patrols are continuing, and officers will remain focused on safeguarding vulnerable people, tackling anti-social behaviour and addressing community concerns.

Shoplifting and aggressive begging - Farnham Road
Issued 12 October 2026
Officers have been made aware of concerns relating to aggressive begging and shoplifting in the Farnham Road area, particularly outside local businesses. In response, the Neighbourhood Team planned and carried out targeted operations to address these issues and provide reassurance to the community.
As part of this activity, a Live Facial Recognition operation was conducted, resulting in a number of individuals being stopped and spoken to by officers, with one offender subsequently arrested and taken into custody. The operation also provided valuable opportunities for engagement with local shopkeepers, with crime prevention advice and support offered to businesses.
Feedback from local retailers was overwhelmingly positive, with many reporting that the increased police presence and Live Facial Recognition deployment had a reassuring effect and a noticeable positive impact on the Farnham Road area. Officers will continue to work with businesses and residents to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour and keep the community safe.
