Your Local Neighbourhood Policing Team
Every neighbourhood in the Thames Valley area has a dedicated neighbourhood policing team that works together with the local community and partners to: reduce crime and incidents, bring more offenders to justice, protect the vulnerable and tackle violence against women and girls and improve victim service and public confidence.
Neighbourhood policing teams are led by senior police officers and include police officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), police staff, police support volunteers and the Special Constabulary.
They aim to make communities safer through an approach that is focussed on visibility, engagement, problem solving and community resilience.

ASB and Criminal Damage – Mosque and Ivy Leaf Club
Following reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and criminal damage at the Mosque and Ivy Leaf Club, the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be working to tackle these issues through targeted and high-visibility patrols in the area.
Action taken:
Local officers are aware of the concerns raised, and targeted patrol plans have been put in place to increase police visibility and reassurance in and around the affected areas.

E-Scooters & E-Bikes through the town centre.
Residents and local businesses have raised concerns regarding the use of e-scooters and e-bikes within the town centre, particularly between 1000 and 1600hrs. Concerns primarily relate to inconsiderate and anti-social riding in busy pedestrian areas and the impact this has on those using the town centre.
Local officers continue to engage with retailers and partner agencies to identify areas of concern and address the issues being reported
Action taken:
Officers are actively seizing illegal e-scooters and modified e-bikes where appropriate when encountered on public roads and in public spaces. A more robust and proactive approach will be taken to tackle anti-social and inconsiderate riding, with particular focus on reducing disruption and improving safety on the high street

Local high street retailer has raised concerns regarding an increase in shoplifting offences. The Neighbourhood Policing Team will work closely with affected retailers to identify repeat offenders, improve reporting and intelligence, and provide a visible policing presence in areas experiencing increased offending.
Action taken:
An increase in shoplifting has been reported by local retailers. In response, the Neighbourhood Policing Team will:
Conduct targeted and high-visibility patrols around affected retailers.
Engage regularly with store staff to encourage timely reporting and intelligence sharing.
Identify repeat or prolific offenders and consider appropriate enforcement and disruption opportunities.
Review reported offences to identify patterns, including key locations and times.
Work with retailers and relevant partners to identify preventative measures and reduce opportunities for further offending.
