Due to the season, there has been a noticeable increase in fish Poaching on the River Kennet, especially in Upper Eddington, Lower Denford and the War Memorial in Hungerford. The poaching is being carried out by individuals who do not have fishing licence or a permit to fish on the river.

Officers have continued to carry out Poaching Ops at well known Hotspots and engaged with local River Keepers in relation to the issue.
A number of Community Resolution have been issued in relation to Poaching over recent weeks, identifying offenders and ensuring that positive action is taken to prevent re-offending.

There have been ongoing reports of Buckleberry Common being a hotspot for Anti-Social Behaviour, Drug use (and potentially drug dealing) and the use of Off Road Bikes in and around the area.

Off Road Bikes have been causing ongoing issues in and around Cold Ash and Hermitage, particularly on Lang Lane and Hermitage Road.

Officers and PCSO’s are continuing to patrol the areas at prime times such as early evening. They have also been actively engaging with the community and local residents to identify the vehicles in question and the owners, to issue seizure warnings, and in repeated cases, seizing the vehicles.
