    Anti-Social Behaviour has again been voted a priority in the May 2026 community survey.. Members of public have reported an increase in the number of street drinkers particularly around Market Square.

    Action taken:

    The local neighbourhood team will continue to work with partners such as street wardens from the council to manage those repeatedly exhibiting anti-social behaviour and take a joint approach. Officers will also carry out their routine patrols around the town centre to deter the negatively impactful behaviour, there will be a continued increase police presence in the area due to the funding from the PCC into Buckinghamshire town centres which forms the Safer streets campaign.
    The team have also been working and engaging with their local business community to provide reassurance and ensure the shops are consistently reporting shoplifting
    June update: 9 recorded instances in May and increase on previous month. Unfortunately as the weather gets warmer we expect instances to increase.
    July update: 5 instances recorded for June.
    This priority will be reviewed quarterly in line with community survey results and the actions reviewed 30th monthly.

    Drugs related crime around Aylesbury Town Centre area has again been highlighted by the the local community as a priority in the May 2026 community survey.

    Action taken:

    Targeted patrols will take place in areas that have increased reports and intelligence of drug offending. Individuals the team are aware are causing these issues will be stopped and engaged with and any relevant intelligence gathered and submitted.
    June update: Closure order obtained for an address in Cambridge Street due to drug related crime. This property will be closely monitored to ensure compliance. 4 recorded possession of drugs in Town centre for May.
    July update: 5 recorded possession and 2 intent to supply recorded for the month of June, an increase on previous month.

    Speeding in Aylesbury Town Centre has again been voted as a priority from the local community in the May 2026 survey.

    Action taken:

    Speed Surveys will be completed on a monthly basis for a period of 3 months. This is so relevant data can be gathered to ascertain which areas are of concern. Once four areas have been highlighted as a concern we will look to statistically record and compare figures on a monthly basis.
    Also communicating the results to the public and partnership agencies.
    The Aylesbury NHPT have seen an increase of reports relating to vehicles speeding in excess of the road speed limit. The areas highlighted from the community are as follows:
    -Walton Road
    - New Street
    -Town Centre

    Actions include the following:
    1. Visibility Patrols to be completed in and around all areas highlighted
    2. Ensure ongoing engagement with parish councils
    3. Conduct Speed Surveys and ensure the results are communicated to partners and Parish Councillors
    4. Speed operations to be completed on the back of the results from the speed survey.
    Review to be completed quarterly in conjunction with community survey to ascertain if issues are still persistent and and a concern for the community. This will be measurable in terms of our engagement patrols and logs.
    June update: speed surveys to be completed around the town centre in July/Aug and results shared in future updates.
    July update: Speed watch/survey was complete on Upper Hundreds Way and Oxford Road on 9th June. Further surveys to be completed to establish hot spot areas for enforcement
