  • Priority:

With the sunshine comes an increase in calls to the police and general anti-social behaviour, as well as the need to help with the safety around Summertime events. Last month we helped organisers with their Eid events. The team also helped with Pub in the Park and Frogfest in the Town Centre. All were well attended and with little to no issues.

    Issued 01 June 2026

    Action taken:

One of our days of actions saw us dealing with suspected gang related violence. This started by Morrisons where there were reports of youths in balaclavas chasing people. The gang was stopped and a section 34 dispersal was put in place to move people from the area. A further incident in Cressex resulted in two people being arrested for attacking a youth with a weapon. Thankfully the victim was not seriously hurt.

Whilst conducting speeding checks, the team were called away to search for a male exposing himself on Hughenden Park. The male was found and arrested. He has now been given strict bail conditions and the team will monitor this robustly.
As an issue that impacts most residents, poor and inconsiderate parking is one of the most frequent complaints the team receives. Joint patrols with the council parking enforcement and days of action with the DVLA have been utilised to combat this issue. On the latest DVLA day of action, 100 untaxed vehicles received enforcement.

The team received complaints of anti-social behaviour from an address that resulted in the team obtaining a partial closure order on Rynn Close. Checks to ensure that those involved are not present and adhering to the order are being carried out

Last month we worked with our Roads Policing Colleagues to focus on vehicle anti-social behaviour. This resulted in 3 arrests and 21 vehicles being seized. We are currently planning more of these operations.

    Actioned 05 June 2026

  • Priority:

The team is working to promote a cultural shift in how speeding is viewed. Much like drink driving, officers want the community to see speeding as a socially unacceptable behaviour. Residents are encouraged to challenge friends and family who drive above the limit—helping to create a collective responsibility for safer roads.

    Issued 01 June 2026

    Action taken:

To make a real difference around speeding requires a real effort from the community. Now that it is summertime we find that there is a higher uptake for people wanting to get involved in schemes like Community Speed watch. There are a number of benefits such as: meeting people in your local community, raising awareness of speeding and improving the safety of every road user and pedestrian. The Police and Crime Commissioner is providing free equipment to loan to new groups. The team will be looking to see if they can get new schemes set up this year. Visit www.communityspeedwatch.org for more information.

The team will continue to monitor local speeding hotspots and assess where future enforcement should be prioritised, including the potential deployment of the Road Safety Van in high risk areas. This month we did road checks at Plumer Hill where 7 tickets were given out.

The area continues to benefit from both fixed speed cameras and mobile safety vans, which act not only as enforcement tools but also as highly visible deterrents to drivers who may otherwise put themselves and others at risk. April’s results across these sites include:
•412 offences recorded by fixed cameras
•651 offences recorded at mobile enforcement sites
These figures highlight the continued need for active speed monitoring across the community.

  • Priority:

The Wycombe West Neighbourhood Team continues to take proactive action to address drug related activity across the area. Our officers remain visible on patrol, carrying out targeted checks, engaging with young people, and responding to community concerns.

    Issued 01 June 2026

    Action taken:

A warrant was executed in Downley under the Misuse of Drugs Act and one person was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of drugs.

A proactive drugs operation took place over two days focusing on the West side of Wycombe. The Neighbourhood Team were supported by dog handlers and officers from the Town Centre team. This resulted in
•19 stop searches - Numerous drugs recovered
•Five Penalty tickets for road related incidents
    •Two people reported
    •Seizure of an E-bike
High visibility patrols remain a priority to deter offending and identify those involved in drug supply and possession.

    Actioned 05 June 2026
