Every neighbourhood in the Thames Valley area has a dedicated neighbourhood policing team that works together with the local community and partners to: reduce crime and incidents, bring more offenders to justice, protect the vulnerable and tackle violence against women and girls and improve victim service and public confidence.
Neighbourhood policing teams are led by senior police officers and include police officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), police staff, police support volunteers and the Special Constabulary.
They aim to make communities safer through an approach that is focussed on visibility, engagement, problem solving and community resilience.

1. Theft from a shop-Co-op Great Linford. The shop is experiencing a high level of shoplifting incidents.

The Neighbourhood Team are continuing to conduct high visibility patrols, engaging with shop staff and undertaking ongoing proactive measures to resolve these issues. Work ongoing with Co-op HQ security contractors. Repeat offenders are being monitored and targeted. Multiple offenders charged and sentenced to Prison which has resulted in a large reduction of offending.
Local community and businesses working closely with NHPT team to keep offending low. Offending currently reduced significantly.

2. Anti social behaviour and drug related offences, in Conniburrow. Affecting the alleyway behind Bryony Place, the overbridge between Lloyds Court and Cranesbill Place.

The Neighbourhood Team continues to conduct regular high visibility patrols throughout Conniburrow. Engage, with the community at local events, including, attending Conniburrow Community Hub at the Community Centre. This priority remains a live issue. We have recently secured a closure order at a premises which was causing significant ASB as a result of drug use. This has reduced the number of complaints significantly with a reduction in offending.

Misuse of Trail Bikes-affecting Great Linford, impacting the area around St Ledger Court.

The Neighbourhood Team will continue to conduct high visibility patrols in the affected areas. They will also be engaging with Parish staff and stopping and engaging with members of the public, the Neighbourhood Police Team will also work to Identify the owners of the motorcycles. Working in partnership with the local parish we have increased CCTV coverage and as a result we have seen a reduction in incidents. This will continue to be monitored. Roads Policing have targeted offenders as part of OP Chromium which is the operation to deal with illegal car/bike street racing. A range of enforcement legislation is being used to seize vehicles and prosecute offenders.
