There have been an increase in reporting of persons sitting outside the shops and asking for money.
People have raised that they feel intimidated by this behaviour

Three Community Protection Warnings have been issued so far to parties involved.
Patrols have been increased at relevant times to discourage this behaviour.
We are liaising with the Parks Trust who own the land where the shops are situated, as well as staff within the affected stores, in order to understand the impact on customers and to obtain CCTV footage where applicable to assist with identification

Repeated calls for service regarding the smell of cannabis in communal areas of blocks of flats on Brahaman Way and Antolian Avenue in Whitehouse

Cannabis warning letters were issued to a number of flats to remind residents that possession of cannabis is illegal and that the smell of cannabis smoke is classed as anti-social behaviour.
Key locations are being regularly patrolled by Neighbourhood units in order to identify specific flats involved.
Community Protection Warning notices have been issued to the residents in 2 flats in order to minimise this behaviour which is having an impact on the local residents

Concerns raised by residents in Whitehouse around an increase recently in dwelling burglaries

We have attended 2 community meetings to share information and provide reassurance about ongoing investigations which our Priority Crime Team are actively dealing with.
We have arranged Street Surgeries to provide more specific security advice.
Operation Darknight begins in October which is focussed patrols identifying vulnerable properties and using social media to enable residents to target harden their properties and thereby deter offenders
