Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been charged in connection with 14 offences in Oxfordshire.
A man has been charged after an operation by Thames Valley Police’s Serious & Organised Crime Unit uncovered 21kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of more than £1.5 million.
A man and a woman who fatally drugged two men and poisoned two others to steal from them have today (13/8) each been jailed for 17 years.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help to find a man with links to Banbury who is wanted on recall to prison.
The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) is re-appealing for the public’s help in tracing a wanted man with links to Oxfordshire and north London.
Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in Botley and the surrounding villages

The team have been working with local bars and pubs to raise awareness of violence against women and girls in these areas. There is work being completed and operations planned to help make public spaces a safe and fun environment for all to enjoy. The team have worked with the community safety partnership and working towards the winter season several operations in this area will take place with other departments to help prevent any crimes against women and girls

Retail theft and financial scams in Botley and surrounding villages

The Neighbourhood Team are working with the retail crime team to bring repeat offenders of shoplifting to justice. Tescos and Iceland in West Way Botley are shops that are companies that the team are working with to help reduce shopliftings and patrols have increased to prevent crimes in the area. The Oxfordshire retail crime team and now working closely with the team to help identify and assist in the prevention of shoplifting and apprehension of offenders in a more timely manner.

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in Botley and Abingdon Outer Villages

The team have been patrolling the outer villages of Abingdon and in the last month we have seen a 14% decrease in ASB in the outer areas. We are aware of some individuals that are riding motorbikes in the Sutton Courtenay area, we are working on to Identify them and potentially issue section 59. The team worked in partnership with the local council and Football club in Drayton in regard to the unauthorised emcampment. There will be target hardening completed on the ground to help prvent and deter any future incidents. Over the coming months the team will be working with the rural crime team to help prevent and catch any offenders of hare coursing and other rural crime offences.
