Your Local Neighbourhood Policing Team
Every neighbourhood in the Thames Valley area has a dedicated neighbourhood policing team that works together with the local community and partners to: reduce crime and incidents, bring more offenders to justice, protect the vulnerable and tackle violence against women and girls and improve victim service and public confidence.
Neighbourhood policing teams are led by senior police officers and include police officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), police staff, police support volunteers and the Special Constabulary.
They aim to make communities safer through an approach that is focussed on visibility, engagement, problem solving and community resilience.

Anti-social Behaviour
Following a public consultation and online survey conducted during August 2026, the community has identified drug dealing/misuse and anti-social behaviour (ASB) as ongoing priorities in:
•Graven Hill
•KingsmereResidents have raised concerns regarding visible drug activity, associated ASB, and the impact on community safety and quality of life. In response, the Kidlington Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) will deliver a coordinated, intelligence-led plan over the next three months to reduce harm and improve public confidence.
What the Community Told Us
Feedback from residents and partners identified:
•Suspected drug dealing and drug use in open spaces, particularly parks
•Associated anti-social behaviour, including gatherings causing nuisance, disorder, and intimidation
•Concerns for young people and vulnerable individuals being drawn into harmful behaviours
•A desire for increased visible policing and early intervention
•Ongoing issues at repeat locations during evenings and weekendsAction taken:
Following recent Have Your Say events and feedback received through our online community survey, concerns relating to anti-social behaviour (ASB) within the Graven Hill and Kingsmere estates have been identified as a significant issue for local residents.
As a result, Anti-Social Behaviour in the Graven Hill and Kingsmere estates has been adopted as a Bicester Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team priority for the period September to December 2026.
The Bicester rural Neighbourhood Team understands the impact that anti-social behaviour can have on local communities, affecting residents' quality of life, increasing fear of crime, and causing ongoing frustration for those living in the area. Reports received have highlighted concerns relating to youth-related anti-social behaviour, nuisance gathering, criminal damage, noise disturbance and behaviours that negatively affect the wider community.
Officers will continue to work closely with residents, housing providers, Cherwell District Council and other partner agencies to identify those responsible and take appropriate action. This will include targeted patrols in identified hotspot locations, engagement with young people, early intervention opportunities and the use of enforcement powers where necessary to address persistent issues.
The Neighbourhood Team remains committed to a problem-solving approach, focusing not only on enforcement but also on addressing the underlying causes of anti-social behaviour and supporting those who may be vulnerable or at risk of becoming involved in criminality.
We encourage residents to continue reporting incidents of anti-social behaviour and to provide information about emerging concerns within their neighbourhoods. Community intelligence is vital in helping us understand issues, identify repeat offenders and deploy our resources effectively.

As a result, Drug Dealing and Drug Misuse has been reaffirmed as a Bicester Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team priority for the period September to December 2026.
The Bicester Rural Neighbourhood Team recognises the impact that drug-related activity can have on local communities, including concerns around anti-social behaviour, crime, exploitation and the fear of crime. We are committed to working proactively to disrupt those involved in drug supply, identify vulnerable individuals who may be at risk of exploitation, and take positive action against offenders.
Officers will continue to conduct targeted patrols, develop community intelligence, and work closely with partner agencies to identify and address drug-related activity across our rural communities. Where appropriate, we will utilise a range of policing powers and investigative opportunities to disrupt offenders, safeguard vulnerable people and reduce the harm caused by illegal drugs.

The Bicester Neighbourhood Team recognises the concerns raised by residents regarding suspected drug-related activity and the impact this can have on community safety, anti-social behaviour, and the quality of life of those living in the area. We are committed to working proactively to disrupt those involved in the supply of illegal drugs, safeguard vulnerable individuals, and tackle criminality linked to drug misuse.
Officers will continue to carry out targeted patrols, develop intelligence, engage with residents and local partners, and take positive action where offences are identified. We will use all available policing powers and investigative opportunities to target offenders and reduce the harm caused by drug-related activity within the Kingsmere community.
