Your Local Neighbourhood Policing Team
The Inspector is in command of the neighbourhood Policing Team and is responsible for the overall policing of the neighbourhood. They lead, manage and co-ordinate the team and also work with the community and other agencies, in ensuring an appropriate and timely response to incidents and issues affecting the community.
The Neighbourhood Sergeant provides frontline management to support and co-ordinate the activity of the neighbourhood policing team. They work with key partners and stakeholders to problem solve issues and develop innovative ways to identify and safeguard vulnerable people within the community.
Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) are the face of the police within local communities. They play an integral part in delivering effective neighbourhood policing, providing a highly visible policing presence and building relationships with the local community as well as working to problem solve long-term neighbourhood issues.

Neighbourhood Administrators are key members of police staff who provide fundamental support to the local Neighbourhood Policing Team to make neighbourhoods safer and build closer relationships with local communities.

Drug offences by way of drug use and drug dealing has been identified as a Top Priority in the recent Neighbourhood Priorities Survey by local residents. This is primarily in The Morgan Rec car park and Crowthorne high street.

Summary of activity from Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers tackling drug related offences in August 2026 for Crowthorne:
Officers continued proactive work against suspected drug activity within the Crowthorne area.
Drug-related activity remained a key focus throughout August, particularly in relation to intelligence concerning a known local individual linked to reports of drug dealing in the area and locations subject to patrol plans.
Targeted patrols were conducted in Swords Drive and surrounding roads, with officers carrying out regular checks to deter criminal activity and monitor compliance with existing bail conditions. These patrols generated intelligence submissions which have been shared with investigative colleagues.
At Crowthorne Rugby Club, officers encountered groups of youths in parked vehicles and identified cannabis use. Community Resolutions were issued where appropriate, alongside advice and education regarding the consequences of drug use and associated anti-social behaviour. Additional patrols of Morgan Recreational Ground and other local locations helped maintain visibility and gather intelligence relating to suspected drug activity.
The team's proactive approach ensured intelligence opportunities were identified and acted upon whilst also educating those encountered about the impact of drug use on the wider community.

Road safety concerns continued to feature prominently in community discussions throughout the month.
In response to community concerns regarding speeding, officers participated in a joint operation with Roads Policing on Old Wokingham Road. Using speed detection equipment, officers carried out enforcement and educational activity aimed at improving road safety.
The operation resulted in:
One speeding offence being detected and dealt with.
One seatbelt offence being identified and enforced.
Further driver education and engagement with road users.This activity demonstrated the team's commitment to addressing speeding concerns and improving safety for residents, pedestrians and other road users across Crowthorne.

ASB amongst youths in Morgan recreational ground and the ASB driving of motorbikes along Crowthorne high street.
Action taken:
During August 2026, officers across the Crowthorne neighbourhood delivered a highly visible and proactive policing approach, combining targeted patrols, community engagement, partnership working, and enforcement activity. This work directly supported the key neighbourhood priorities of anti-social behaviour (ASB), drug-related activity, and speeding/road safety concerns.
Summary of activity conducted by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers tackling ASB in August 2026:
A significant amount of officer activity was directed towards ongoing reports of youth ASB in Buckler's Park, Crowthorne Rugby Club and Morgan Recreational Ground. High-visibility foot and vehicle patrols were conducted throughout the month at key hotspot locations, particularly during evening periods when concerns had been raised by residents.
Officers met with representatives from Crowthorne Rugby Club to discuss persistent ASB concerns affecting the grounds and car park. Reassurance was provided regarding patrol activity, while discussions took place around longer-term preventative measures including potential improvements to site security. Regular patrols at the Rugby Club, Buckler's Park and Morgan Recreation Ground resulted in frequent engagement with young people and members of the public, helping to build relationships, gather community feedback and deter disruptive behaviour.
While most patrols found no significant ASB occurring, officers remained highly visible in identified hotspot areas, providing reassurance to residents and demonstrating an ongoing commitment to tackling community concerns. Engagements with young people also provided opportunities to discuss the legalities of e-scooters and other road-related issues that had been raised locally.
