Drug offences by way of drug use and drug dealing has been identified as a Top Priority in the recent Neighbourhood Priorities Survey by local residents. This is primarily in The Morgan Rec car park and Crowthorne high street.
Issued 01 October 2026
Summary of activity from Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers tackling drug related offences in September 2026 for Crowthorne:
Officers continued proactive work against suspected drug activity within the Crowthorne area.
Drug-related activity remained a key focus throughout September, particularly in relation to intelligence concerning a known local individual linked to reports of drug dealing in the area and locations subject to patrol plans.
Targeted patrols were conducted in Swords Drive and surrounding roads, with officers carrying out regular checks to deter criminal activity and monitor compliance with existing bail conditions. These patrols generated intelligence submissions which have been shared with investigative colleagues.
Previous community feedback identified concerns regarding cannabis use within the Buckler's Park area, particularly around Gethin Grove and nearby open spaces. In response, officers maintained regular patrols in these locations and incorporated drug-related intelligence opportunities into ongoing ASB patrol activity.
Local businesses also continued to raise concerns regarding individuals linked to substance misuse frequenting retail premises. Engagement with retailers, including the Co-op stores within both Crowthorne High Street and Buckler's Park, provided valuable intelligence regarding repeat offenders, suspected drug users and wider neighbourhood concerns. Officers worked with staff to improve reporting, increase police visibility and support crime prevention measures.
The neighbourhood team remains committed to using intelligence-led policing to tackle drug misuse and associated anti-social behaviour, while encouraging residents and businesses to continue reporting information that can support enforcement activity.

Speeding on Crowthorne Road leading into Crowthorne. Noise complaints of loud exhaust from cars and bikes during the night and early morning.
Issued 01 October 2026
Summary of activity conducted by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers tackling speeding and road safety as a priority in September 2026:
Road safety concerns continued to feature prominently in community discussions throughout the month.
While no formal speeding enforcement operations took place during September, officers continued to address community concerns regarding the dangerous use of electric bikes and e-bikes within public spaces.
Residents have consistently reported concerns about electric bikes travelling at speed through parks and residential areas, particularly around Buckler's Park. Feedback gathered during community meetings identified this as an ongoing source of concern, with local people highlighting the intimidation factor created by riders using parks and communal areas irresponsibly.
Officers continued to monitor these locations during routine patrols and maintained visibility within identified hotspot areas. The issue remains closely linked to both ASB and road safety concerns, and the team continues to gather information to support future enforcement opportunities.

ASB amongst youths in Morgan recreational ground and the ASB driving of motorbikes along Crowthorne high street.
Issued 01 October 2026
During September 2026, officers across the Crowthorne neighbourhood delivered a highly visible and proactive policing approach, combining targeted patrols, community engagement, partnership working, and enforcement activity. This work directly supported the key neighbourhood priorities of anti-social behaviour (ASB), drug-related activity, and speeding/road safety concerns.
Summary of activity conducted by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers tackling ASB in Crowthorne in September 2026:
Tackling anti-social behaviour remained a key priority, particularly within Buckler's Park and Morgan Recreational Ground, where residents have repeatedly raised concerns regarding groups of youths congregating in parks, causing disturbances and engaging in nuisance behaviour.
Throughout the month, officers conducted numerous targeted patrols in hotspot locations, including both high-visibility and plain-clothes operations. A dedicated ASB operation in Buckler's Park saw officers patrol the area by bicycle in plain clothes, resulting in the identification of a known individual who was subsequently stop searched by colleagues. Additional evening patrols at Buckler's Park and Morgan Recreation Ground provided reassurance to residents and helped deter further incidents, with officers reporting no significant ASB during several visits. We have plans within September to further target the ASB in Bucklers Park which will provide more of an update next month.
Feedback gathered through community engagement events demonstrated that ASB remains an important local concern. Residents attending "Have Your Say" sessions previously highlighted issues including youths gathering in parks, excessive noise, cannabis use, and the use of electric bikes by individuals wearing balaclavas. Officers continued to encourage accurate reporting through 101 and promoted intelligence-sharing opportunities to help build a clearer picture of offending patterns and identify those responsible.
