Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) summary of activity by the NHPT team in July 2026:

A significant amount of policing activity during July focused on tackling and preventing anti-social behaviour in identified hotspot locations across Sandhurst.

Regular patrols were conducted in Yeovil Road and Moor Close, both of which have been highlighted by residents as locations experiencing youth-related ASB. High-visibility patrols were undertaken during the evenings and weekends, with officers providing reassurance to local residents and monitoring for any emerging issues. No significant incidents of ASB were identified during these patrols, suggesting that continued police visibility is helping to deter offending and reassure the community.

Particular attention was given to Horseshoe Lake, where concerns had been raised regarding youths entering the water, consuming alcohol, and attempting to start fires. Officers carried out foot patrols around the Dog Beach area, engaging directly with young people and members of the public. This resulted in positive interventions, safeguarding activity, and community reassurance, while helping to reduce the risks associated with dangerous behaviour around open water.

Officers also engaged with school-aged children outside local shops and within the community to help prevent ASB and shoplifting. Positive interactions with young people on Yeovil Road helped build relationships and promote positive perceptions of policing.

Summary of activity carried out by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers to tackle drugs in Sandhurst in July 2026:

Officers continued to work alongside partner agencies to identify and address locations associated with drug-related activity.

An environmental audit and problem-solving initiative was conducted in Moor Close alongside representatives from Abri Housing and local waste management services. Residents had raised concerns regarding local youths gathering around communal bin areas, where cannabis use and associated nuisance behaviour had been reported.

Working collaboratively with partner agencies, a long-term solution was developed involving improvements to the bin storage facilities, including new secure storage arrangements and accessibility improvements. These changes are designed to reduce opportunities for youths to congregate in the area and address concerns relating to drug use and associated ASB.

During the visit, further intelligence regarding local offenders and anti-social behaviour was gathered and submitted to support ongoing policing activity.

Summary of activity carried out by Sandhurst & Crowthorne neighbourhood officers to tackle Speeding and Road-Related Concerns in Sandhurst in July 2026.

Speeding remained a key priority for residents, particularly on Marshall Road and Yeovil Road.

Targeted speed-monitoring patrols were conducted using marked police vehicles positioned at locations where concerns had been reported. Officers utilised highly visible patrol tactics, including displaying speed awareness messaging and conducting static observations from marked vehicles.

While no speeding offences were identified during the patrol periods, officers observed that motorists noticeably reduced their speed when approaching the marked police vehicles. These operations provided reassurance to residents and contributed to encouraging safer driving behaviour on local roads.

Speed gun operations were also carried out on Yeovil Road within this month with no offences being recorded but community reassured by the activity carried out.

Road safety concerns were also discussed during community engagement activities, ensuring officers remained informed of resident concerns and able to direct future patrol activity accordingly.
