Raised through local engagement, we have been made aware of criminality occurring in the immediate vicinity of Twyford Railway Station. This has included theft of parcels on Station Terrace, drug use in the alleyway adjoining Waltham Road, and criminal damage to cars parked close to the station itself.
Issued 06 July 2026
The local neighbourhood team are including this as a specific area of concern on their patrol activities, and will be working to encourage reporting of the theft offences to enable better opportunities to catch offenders. PCSO Maguire will work with Great Western Railway to establish evidence opportunities and to identify long term solutions.

We have been made aware of anti-social behaviour issues in the alleyways linked to London Road in Twyford. This has included large groups loitering and disturbing businesses, and well as underage drinking and related shoplifting.
Issued 06 July 2026
One young person has been apprehended following a number of shoplifting offences associated to this problem, and is currently under investigation whilst officers engage partner agencies and address safeguarding concerns.
Our team will also look to complete patrol activities in the early evening, when this problem is reported as at its peak, and are engaging with local businesses to ensure that any opportunities to disrupt this problem are taken.

We have been notified via social media and our neighbourhood survey of concerns relating to obstructive parking around the shops on Longfield Road. This has included parking in such a way that footpaths are impassable.
Issued 06 July 2026
Whilst parking on double yellow lines is an offence type led by local authority enforcement, obstruction of pavements and roads is still dealt with by Police. Our officers issue fixed penalty notices where obstructive pavement parking is observed, and will review this area during patrols, issuing fixed penalties where this is observed.
