We have been notified via social media and our neighbourhood survey of concerns relating to obstructive parking around the shops on Longfield Road. This has included parking in such a way that footpaths are impassable.
Action taken:
Whilst parking on double yellow lines is an offence type led by local authority enforcement, obstruction of pavements and roads is still dealt with by Police. Our officers issue fixed penalty notices where obstructive pavement parking is observed, and will review this area during patrols, issuing fixed penalties where this is observed.
UPDATE 30/07/2026 - Over the past month, our team has paid passing attention to this area, and two fixed penalty notices have been issued for offending parking. A number of other vehicles have been moved on and deterred from leaving their vehicles parked in obstructive positions.

Priority:
An emergent problem within the Wokingham North neighbourhood area, affecting Twyford and Hurst close to its borders with Woodley, has been anti-social motorbike riding, particularly around Dinton Pastures, with complaints of excessive speed, collisions and altercations with members of the public and park rangers.
Action taken:
The Wokingham North neighbourhood policing team has planned a number of collaborative operations across the specific problem areas. Two motorbikes have been seized within the northern parishes, and five by the Wokingham South neighbourhood policing team.
UPDATE 30/09/2026 - Since the most recent update, another motorcycle involved has been seized, and a rider dealt with. The neighbourhood team has secured the assistance of specialised colleagues from the Roads Policing Unit for more operational activity.

Anti-social behaviour and personal theft have been occurring with a focus around a plaza space and a takeaway within Twyford village centre, much of which is enabled with the use of illegal electric motorcycles.
Action taken:
Officers have identified that this is a separate issue to that occurring within the Dinton Pastures area, and does not include the same offenders. The takeaway in question is being engaged with a view towards target hardening, and PC Bogdanova is making local enquiries with businesses to identify how to improve CCTV opportunities, and therefore identify and deal with those responsible.
