Anti-Social Behaviour in Woodley Town Centre
Issued 27 March 2026
The Woodley Neighbourhood Team are continuing to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour within the local parks and within the Town Centre.
During patrols the police have been made aware that as the evenings are getting lighter, groups of young people are causing anti-social behaviour in the precinct.
The Woodley neighbourhood team have been increasing patrols within the precinct to identify the young people causing anti-social behaviour. During our patrols officers have passed words of advice to individuals identified to be causing trouble and have been moving individuals out of the precinct.
Officers have also been meeting with the local council in regards to individuals who have been causing concern to residents. The police and council will be taking a joint agency approach to deal with individuals.
We would like to remind parents that your children are your responsibility and you should be aware of where they are and what they are doing when out and about in the community. Also if you are witnessing anti-social behaviour please report this to police so we can build up a bigger picture.
Update 01.06.26 - The police have been engaging with the homeless community and working alongside partner agencies on a long-term basis to explore permanent solutions. We have identified young persons involved in anti-social behaviour and enquiries are on-going. We are performing continued patrols within the area.
