The Neighbourhood Inspector has overall responsibility for the entire neighbourhood policing team of Sergeants, Police Constables, PCSOs and police staff. They are responsible for delivering on neighbourhood policing strategies, directing the deployment of the team and developing relationships with partners and key stakeholders to enable the neighbourhood policing team to work effectively.
The Neighbourhood Sergeant provides frontline management to support and co-ordinate the activity of the neighbourhood policing team. They work with key partners and stakeholders to problem solve issues and develop innovative ways to identify and safeguard vulnerable people within the community.
Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) are the face of the police within local communities. They play an integral part in delivering effective neighbourhood policing, providing a highly visible policing presence and building relationships with the local community as well as working to problem solve long-term neighbourhood issues.

ASB related off road driving offences and drug use in Walnut tree, Old Farm Park & Browns wood.

The neighbourhood team are aware of local youths causing ASB issues across the neighbouring estates. We are aware of local youths riding off road dirt bikes within the community and are actively targeting individuals. Our aim is to seize any motorbikes used in off road activity and the use ASB powers to deter offenders. The Neighbourhood Team will continue to carry out high visibility patrols, working alongside partnership agencies and identify offenders.

The NHPT have seen a slight increase in reported ASB involving E-SCOOTERS and bikes that have been ridden in an ASB manner. The NHPT will continue to patrol the targeted area, engage with individuals and deal with any offences robustly.

The NHPT have seen an increase in Theft of motor vehicle offences and other reported offences. The NHPT will work collaboratively with Bedfordshire Police to identify any offenders. The NHPT will continue to provide high visibility patrols, engaging with the public and utilise stop 7 search powers where necessary.

ASB related neighbourhood issues within Wood View, Glebe Farm.

There has been an increase of reported ASB issues within Wood View, Glebe Farm. The NHPT are working in partnership with the local housing provider to ID offenders, tackle the ASB and act in a robust manner to prevent further demand for service. The NHPT & housing provider are in the process of evicting one resident for ASB related offences. We hope this provides reassurance to the community that ASB will not be tolerated.
