1. Drug dealing and the related Anti social behaviour, impacting, Whitethorns garages, Cross Street, Bury Avenue, Methodist Church, High Street and Glenwoods Playpark.

The Neighbourhood Team continues to conduct regular patrols across the affected areas. These include foot, vehicle and bicycle patrols both overt and covert. This remains an ongoing issue. Offenders have been targeted and a range of enforcement has been introduced. PCSO's have visited local schools to talk about the effects of ASB. The team have liaised with partners at the council ASB team and have identified areas where groundwork can help with natural surveillance and stop offenders hiding from view. Environmental visual audits being conducted to identify issues such as poor street lighting and other signal crime. Local pubs have also been visited last month with drug testing taking place by the local team.

2. Shoplifting on High Street. Multiple shops on the High Street have been experiencing shoplifting.

The Neighbourhood Team are conducting high visibility patrols. Holding regular meetings with shop owners and engaging with both store owners and customers. This remains an ongoing issue. Crime reports have reduced recently due to the targeting of prolific offenders by the local team under a retail crime operation OP PURCHASE. Prolific offenders being monitored closely as the teams become successful in other areas we want to ensure offenders are not pushed out into rural areas. Close liaison with retail partners ongoing.

3. Anti social behaviour related to the use of Private E-scooters being used around the town. The Parish Council have been receiving complaints and concerns over the use of private e-scooters around Newport Pagnell.

The Neighbourhood Team continue to conduct patrols and will seek to engage with those involved and explain the law relating to the use of these vehicles and enforce the legislation. The local NHPT have seized multiple e scooters in recent weeks and warnings have been given out alongside educational inputs to parents regarding legislation. A planned operation which will include partner agencies is planned for Summer 2025.
