Rural Crime & Property Security
Issued 15 September 2026
In Olney and the surrounding farms, we conducted a rural crime operation called Op Drover with a focus on burglary, theft of agricultural equipment, and criminal damage.
We conducted out high-visibility patrols in vulnerable locations, including rural communities, farms, and isolated properties.
We worked closely with residents and landowners to promote security measures by signing up local residents to TV Alerts and completing home security checks.

Anti-Social Behaviour in Rural Communities
Issued 16 September 2026
We are receiving reports of anti-social behaviour in recreation grounds and public spaces, including noise nuisance, environmental damage, and youth-related ASB in Olney.
During Op Drover, we worked proactively with local authorities and community groups to address the reported issues.
We carried out high-visibility patrols at key times, engaged with individuals involved in disruptive behaviour, and worked closely with local partners to identify underlying causes. During these patrols, officers identified a number of suspicious vehicles and dealt with them robustly using early intervention tactics and community engagement to deter future incidents.
Your reports are being actively monitored, and fed back to the relevant department and agency (Milton Keynes Council) to support the Problem Solving approach.
We encourage anyone affected by the anti-social behaviour to report it, as every report helps us build a clearer picture of the issues and take appropriate action.
