Every neighbourhood in the Thames Valley area has a dedicated neighbourhood policing team that works together with the local community and partners to: reduce crime and incidents, bring more offenders to justice, protect the vulnerable and tackle violence against women and girls and improve victim service and public confidence.
Neighbourhood policing teams are led by senior police officers and include police officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), police staff, police support volunteers and the Special Constabulary.
They aim to make communities safer through an approach that is focussed on visibility, engagement, problem solving and community resilience.
You can receive regular updates on local information and incidents in or around your area by signing up to Thames Valley Alert.
Drug offences
Issued 01 October 2024
Drug offences and the anti-social behaviour it tends to bring into the local community is a top concern for the neighbourhood policing team and residents. In response to this issue, the team have increased their high visibility patrols around areas identified to be most impacted by drug usage. This include locations such as Dropmore road in Burnham and Fern Drive in Taplow.

Anti Social Behaviour
Issued 01 October 2024
The neighbourhood team have seen increased reports of general anti social behaviour in the area and continue to work to decrease this. They have been working alongside Parish council and local residents, specifically around issues in Blackpond Lane on Farnham Common where individuals with mopeds have been seen riding on the field. The council are currently working on securing new gating to prevent this and neighbourhood officers have increased their high visibility patrols around this location and other areas identified to be most impacted by anti-social behaviour.
The team have also been dealing with individuals using E-scooters around the Burnham area, having issued 5 warnings in recent months. The team will continue to enforce the law around them and seize if necessary.
