  • Priority:

Burglary remains to be a community concern throughout the South Buckinghamshire area, including Burnham, Farnhams and Taplows

    Issued 31 May 2026

    Action taken:

We recognise that both residential and commercial burglaries can have a huge impact on both residents and businesses. Your neighbourhood team has a large input in deterring and reassuring victims and neighbours when they do happen. We work with local Neighbourhood watch Associations in delivering crime prevention stalls and talks to make sure your home and businesses have both hard and soft security safeguards to deter any offenders or to buy enough time for police to arrive and arrest the suspects. Hotspot patrols also play a key part in this deterrence which take place all times of the day and night; engaging with suspicious vehicles and people. Your neighbourhood team also take part in multi-force proactive operations such as “Operation Pandilla” to prevent burglars from using our roads and vehicles to commit their offending.
When a burglary does happen we attend and provide “target hardening” advice and reassurance to those affected and collect evidence to support other departments. Using police data we can increase and highlight areas affected by burglars to prevent further offending in these areas.

If you have any information please report on 101 or online at www. thamesvalley.police.uk.
Call 999 if crime in progress or you are at risk of harm.

  • Priority:

Anti-social behaviour was one of the top priorities voted for by the residents of Burnham, Farnham & Taplow. The neighbourhood team are dealing with reports from various areas particularly in Burnham, with there being issues of Youth Anti-social behaviour on Burnham High street and Burnham park.

    Issued 31 May 2026

    Action taken:

Your neighbourhood team utilise their patrols to target areas that have increased and/or consistent issues of anti-social behaviour, these patrols help to both detect and deter this behaviour. Your team proactively engages with residents through hotspot patrols and completing house to house visits to get a better understanding of each areas needs and tackle anti-social behaviour before it escalates to other crimes. We have been told by residents of Farnham Common about issues of vehicles parking on zig-zag lines by the parade. Since the beginning of 2026 over 15 tickets have been given out for this traffic violation. We have also been told of areas of high drug use across Burnham and Farnham Common – multiple operations have resulted in arrests of individuals wanted for robberies, possession of illegal drugs and possession with intention to supply illegal drugs. We look to continue with these operations which will continue into the summer. We are also aware of the use of illegal electronic bikes being ridden around. A male known to police has been identified and they have been reported for driving with no insurance. A database of sightings and CCTV is being collected to analyse this trend for upcoming operations. We encourage the reporting of sightings online or through 101.

  • Priority:

Speeding has been voted as another priority by residents across the area

    Issued 31 May 2026

    Action taken:

Speeding have been reported whilst engaging with members of the public as a concern. A number of roads including Gore Road in Burnham and Farnham Lane in Farnham Royal are two examples of roads brought up to police. We utilised our powers under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 to deter anti-social driving meaning if the driver is found to be driving anti-socially again in the next 12 months they will have grounds to seize the vehicle. We have also continued to issue tickets to drivers driving without due care and attention ignoring speed limit signs and their own speedometers.
The neighbourhood teams across Bucks continue to promote the community speed watch scheme, in which local residents volunteer to monitor the speeds in their neighbourhood with support from police. If you are interested in helping out you can contact the community speed watch co-ordinator: [email protected]
